I recently upgraded DPM from 2012 to 2012 R2. And our Hyper-V servers were upgraded to 2012 R2 as well.
What affects whether a VM shows Offline or Online in DPM?
The obvious answer is whether it is on or not, but I have several VMs that are always on, and yet they show up as "Offline".
Are they getting backed up correctly if that is happening? (Seems like the OS of the ones that are showing as "offline" is either 2008 or 2008 R2.)
